Starving Bethlehem
Heart for the Persecuted Church
I have an important question to ask you:
Why are Christians in Bethlehem starving?
In Bethlehem and other “West Bank” towns we assist vulnerable Christians who have not been able to flee the oppression of the Muslim dominated Palestinian Authority.
Today there are fewer than 47,000 Christians left in all the “West Bank.” In contrast there are 3,000,000 Muslims. Christians are just over one percent!
Christians in the “West Bank” are poor. In 2022 the average salary in Bethlehem was $800 a month compared to $3,500 in Israel.
The faithful are suffering in the birthplace of Jesus. The greatest need in Bethlehem is for food and adult diapers for the bedridden in group homes.
Many elderly and disabled adults living alone survive on one meal a day. There are no American type programs like “Meals on Wheels” for them.
The Muslim charities help the Muslims. The United Nations programs help the Muslims. Over 99% of the aid from the United States helps the Muslims. Major secular charities give over 99% of the aid to Muslims because governments require them too.
We only assist Christian families.
After screening for those in the greatest need we deliver bags of groceries and other essentials every month. Our food packages for the poorest Christian families contain ten pounds of rice, powdered milk, frozen meat, frozen chicken and other essentials. If a special needs adult is present, we also deliver adult diapers.
Our abused Christian brothers and sisters who live in the shadow of once great cathedrals are starving and need our help.
We desperately need to expand the food programs in Bethlehem to help Christians in dire need.
Please help today, it is urgently needed.
