NIGERIA OUTREACH

The Christians in Nigeria face worse persecution than anywhere else in the world!  Muslim Fulani Herdsmen and the Boko Haram have murdered entire church congregations and attacked and burned villages across southern Nigeria. Many Christian children are left orphaned because one or both of their parents were victims of these attacks.

The Religious Freedom Coalition has committed to partner with orphanages in Nigeria to provide a safe, healthy environment to show the love of Jesus to these children.

In August of 2021, Muslim Fulani Herdsmen attacked our orphanage in Miango, Nigeria and burned it to the ground. All of the children were able to escape but the home we built for them was left destroyed.

In early 2022 the Lord provided new land for the orphanage in Jos, Nigeria. Thanks to the generosity of Religious Freedom Coalition supporters, the land was purchased and renovated to fit the needs of the orphanage. Children were able to move into their new home in October 2022. This new space has provided a sense of security for the children after everything was taken from them after the attack. We are working diligently to continue updating and growing the facility to further meet their needs!

With attacks in Nigeria on the rise, Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camps are developing all over Nigeria. These camps continue to fill with broken families, including many orphaned children.

We are actively taking steps to help the victims at these IDP camps. Recent projects include the completion of a school building, delivery of necessary items (medicines, mattresses, clothing, etc.), and bringing our Christmas for Refugees events to the children at the camps.

Please pray for the orphaned Christian children of Nigeria.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. Prov 24:11
