This year, more than 10,000 children look forward to Christmas for Refugees events in Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Nigeria, and Bethlehem in the West Bank. As the Christian population is persecuted and continues to decrease in these areas, Christian parents find comfort in having a place where their children can be well taken care of and be in an environment of faith.
The Christmas for Refugees program provides Christmas celebrations for persecuted Christian children and gives them a safe, fun-filled celebration fully centered around the birth of their Savior like they used to before their homes were destroyed by the Islamic State. The events feature Christmas carols, puppet shows, coloring contests, and a hot meal. Each child’s family receives a gift to take home containing a few necessities such as hygiene items and non-perishable food. The children also receive gifts that are age and gender specific.
Please pray for the safety of the children as we bring them together for Christmas events this year.
Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. Prov 24:11
