The adult diaper program has become a critical part of our missions in the Middle East.
The diaper program began in Iraq in 2019 and was centered on infants after I witnessed horrid rash injuries to infants at refugee camps for Christians.
On a trip to Iraq, I witnessed the critical need for adult diapers when I met and prayed with a woman injured in crossfire between the Islamic State and American forces. Her condition forced her to sleep on the floor.
I realized the adult diapers restored dignity.
Many adults through injury or illness could not leave their homes because of their condition.
Christians able to flee Islamist expansion in the Middle East have made new homes in Europe and South America.
Those with the greatest needs, the chronically ill and elderly, were not able to flee. They remain in poverty and in need. The small minority of Christians remaining in Iraq receive little aid from the government which is now Islamist.
Iraq is more deeply Muslim than ever!

I prayed with Sylvana and other special needs adults when we visited.
One of the diaper recipients I visited while there was Sylvana, who has been disabled since birth.
She has never walked or spoken a word. She was 11 years old when I prayed with her family. She is now thirteen and still receiving the adult diapers from our program in Iraq.
The adult diaper program is not limited to Iraq. We also help Christians in Bethlehem, which has been a fragile situation since the war between Israel and Hamas. Many Christians were caught in the crossfire, and many are without income as the tourism market plummeted.
Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. Prov 24:11
