Stop support for terrorists in Syria

The Syrian Arab Army is the main “boots on the ground” force fighting ISIS. (Kurdish militias also opposing ISIS in northern Syria are being bombed by our Turkish “ally.”) As observed by Robert Merry of The National Interest, “if the Islamic State [ISIS] is our enemy, then Syria’s Bashar al-Assad is not.” Why isn’t that obvious to more people in Washington?

Remembering the 9-11 Jihad Attack Against America

I was on I-395 approaching the 14th Street bridge at the moment Islamic terrorists flew hijacked American Airlines 77 into the Pentagon. At the time I was literally on the phone with an assistant to President Bush talking about the jihad attack in New York City. I had been headed to a press conference in support of the Sudan Peace Act that the White House opposed. The Sudan Peace Act would have punished the Islamic Sudanese government economically for murdering for the continued persecution and mass murder of Christians in the South Sudan.

U.N. Says Four Million Refugees Have Left Syria

The United Nations reported this month that the number of refugees fleeing conflict in Syria has reached four million. The UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees says that makes Syria the world’s biggest refugee crisis in a generation. Without a settlement to the conflict, it warns, the number of refugees is expected to rise to four-point-25 million by the end of the year.
