Chairman’s Report for September 22nd, 2011
THE PRESIDENT AND THE GROUND ZERO EXPERIENCE
PRESIDENT OBAMA WOULD PREFER WE FORGET – I have great sympathy for the families of the victims of the jihad attack against the United States on 9-11. But that tragic date symbolizes much more than the loss of life on that one day; it symbolizes the beginning of a great struggle between Western civilization and the imposition of a new medieval period of darkness upon the world, one in which New York would resemble Cairo or worse.
President Obama this year attended a memorial service on the 9-11 anniversary morning with a Catholic priest, a rabbi and an imam. No evangelical pastors were permitted to participate. The event had to be moved from the National Cathedral at the last minute because of a series of acts of God — an earthquake and floods, that rendered the main sanctuary at the National Cathedral unusable. The service was moved to the Kennedy Center. The imam, of course, prayed in Arabic as was the case during the first 9-11 service ten years ago held by then President Bush. The imam prayed for the dead, which is the essence of Islam, death.
President Obama then flew his 747 to New York City to speak at an event only for “family members” of those killed on 9-11. First responders, police and fire fighters who had helped so heroically that day, and all those injured that day, were not allowed to attend. The restrictions are not new. Ten years ago officials in New York City made the decision to make sure that events commemorating the “tragedy” (not attack) would diminish over the years as family members age and die. The elites of New York and this nation do not want the jihad attack of 9-11 remembered as another Pearl Harbor. At the event President Obama, in a very obvious re-election bid actually read part of the 46th Psalm, much to the embarrassment of his liberal media supporters. Oddly Americans for Separation of Church and State made no complaint, while at the same time they attacked Governor Perry for attending a prayer meeting in Texas.
There was a non-government rally at Ground Zero sponsored by Pamela Geller’s Stop the Islamization of America and other groups that same afternoon. The rally at the corner of West Broadway and Park was to remind people of the real importance of that day, to remember who attacked us, and to stop the construction of the victory mosque or rabat at Ground Zero. Speakers included family members of those who died in the 9-11 jihad attack and who oppose a Ground Zero mosque. Parliamentarians fighting the advance of sharia law in European nations including Denmark and Germany also spoke, as did a Canadian newspaper editor arrested for speaking out against Islam. Many activists and leaders of groups against sharia in America also spoke.
City officials made the rally as difficult as possible for us. The leaders and speakers for the rally were to meet at an office at 100 Church Street at 2:00 PM that day. The New York City Police would not allow any of us onto Church Street. A few speakers were never able to make it to the rally. I am not faulting the New York City Police. These fine officers were following orders from Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
I am familiar with Lower Manhattan and managed finally to get past barriers and police who were told to keep people away from Park and West Broadway, but not told why. Despite all the obstacles to the 3:00 PM rally, enough people showed up to fill two full city blocks, standing shoulder to shoulder. The New York Times reported that about 150 were present. (Actually there were almost that many members of the press, mostly European.)
The leadership of the rally had requested that I give the opening comment and invocation from my unique perspective of the events of the day of the attack. Below are my comments and my invocation:
I was on I-395 approaching the 14th Street Bridge near the Potomac River when American Airlines 77 struck the Pentagon. The impact shook the windows on my Jeep. Ironically, I was on my way to a press conference at the Rayburn House Office Building to promote the passage of the Sudan Peace Act, a bill opposed by the Bush White House, which was intended to help stop the slaughter of Christians in the Southern Sudan by the extremist Muslim government. With that day seared upon my mind, I would like to offer a prayer for the families of the victims of the Jihad attack on 9/11, and the thousands of innocent people who die every year in the name of Islamic supremacism.
Father, we pray, bring peace for the families of those lost during the jihad attack of 9/11, and comfort those who still suffer today. Bring healing to our land and wisdom to our leaders. Guide us Lord in righteousness to victory over Islamist evil in the world today, we ask in the name of our Savior. Amen.
And now, may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with all those assembled here today.
This very successful rally was held to keep the spotlight on the reality of 9-11. While Washington and New York City officials want 9-11 to symbolize “volunteerism” it must always be remembered for what it was — the beginning of a great jihad against Western civilization.
TEN YEARS AFTER 9-11 – On the first anniversary of the jihad attack, in September of 2002, I wrote my recollection of the events of that day. My memory of the events that day are still vivid today, perhaps because, as mentioned above, I was next to the Pentagon when flight 77 crashed into it. My mission to Capitol Hill that day was to pass legislation to save Christians from Islamic persecution and that also plays a role in my view of the jihad attack that fateful day.
I learned after Dr. Jerry Falwell died that somehow he obtained a copy of the essay I wrote on the first anniversary of the attack and handed it to his ministry’s board of directors to read. During the Administration of President George W. Bush it was virtually impossible for men such as Dr. Falwell, Dr. Franklyn Graham and others to tell the truth about the threat to Western civilization. With a “conservative” president reciting daily, “Islam is a religion of peace,” it was impossible for conservatives leaders to be heard on the issue of Islam.
Because of my experiences in New York City on this, the tenth anniversary of the jihad attack this year I am reprinting on the next two pages of this Chairman’s Report my essay on the attack, first authored nine years ago. Please feel free to photocopy and distribute the two page essay to your Sunday School, friends and family.
REMEMBERING 9-11
Each of us will remember exactly where we were and what we were doing at the moment we heard about the Islamic Jihad attack against our nation on September 11th, just as our parents and grandparents always remembered the details of their lives on the day of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
On that fateful day I was on my way to Washington, DC to participate in the Sudan Peace Act press conference to be held at the Rayburn House Office Building at 10:00 a.m. that morning.
As usual on my drive from my Virginia office to my Washington, DC office, I was listening to WTOP which is a commercial all news radio station. Within two or three minutes of the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center, they had a live report from a traffic helicopter in New York City. Immediately I knew that the Islamic Jihad against the United States had reached a new level of terror.
The media at first believed it was an accident, of course. I knew otherwise just because of the description of the damage. No small aircraft had hit the building and no large modern airliner would hit a skyscraper in broad daylight in good weather by accident.
I heard the New York traffic reporter as he described a second aircraft headed into tower number two of the World Trade Center and it was at that instant that I made my first call to the White House. I talked briefly to a special assistant to the President. I wanted to be the first to say, “The Jihad against America has begun.”
It was just after 9:30 when I got off the phone with the White House official and was passing the Pentagon on my way into Washington. It was literally at that instant that American Airlines Flight 77 slammed into the south side of the Pentagon. I never saw the airplane hit, but literally felt the explosion rattle the windows of my Jeep. I can honestly say I did not know what had happened as I saw the smoke and flames rise from the Pentagon in my driver’s side outside mirror. I thought it must have been a truck bomb, since I was not willing to believe that Islamic madmen had managed to hijack more than two jets.
The irony of my personal journey that day was the cancellation of the news conference on the Sudan Peace Act. That act was written for the sole purpose of stopping the slaughter of Christians in the Sudan by its Islamic government. During the Clinton Administration the Sudanese Muslims had been given a free hand at killing Christians as had the Islamic government of Indonesia. Clinton’s only foreign intervention to “save” a religious group was the bombing of Christian Yugoslavia. The destruction of Yugoslavia by Clinton led to the construction of terror bases in Europe for the first time. Without the Yugoslav army to intervene, terror cells were free to launch attacks against the West from Kosovo.
Within days of the Jihad attack, the Bush Administration was proclaiming Islam as a “religion of peace” and America’s left wing media launched into a “blame America and defend Islam” politically correct agenda that amazed even me. Not a single news outlet would place the blame for the attack where it belonged … Before the end of September, I had written and placed advertisements in major newspapers including the Washington Times, clearly showing that there was no difference between the Taliban of Afghanistan and our Saudi Arabian “allies”. In fact the Saudi princes had financed Bin-Laden and his terror cells.
For my truthfulness I was ostracized in Washington for some time. I was “uninvited” to events, and individuals at the White House no longer returned my calls. But I fought on, not only in print, but on radio and TV as well, telling the truth about Islam and Saudi Arabia. While congressmen and Senators were inviting Islamic clergy to pray at official events I was pointing out that Bin-Laden was only doing his master’s bidding and his master was Mohammed.
It took a year, but the truth prevailed! Slowly but surely newspapers and other media outlets began to listen to me. Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer joined the bandwagon of truth as did Franklin Graham. Soon even the major media could not ignore the truth. In August of this year a lawsuit for $1 trillion was filed by terror victims against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and many members of the Royal family.
Documents filed by the lawyers of the 9-11 victims’ families show clearly that Saudi Arabia gave Osama Bin-Laden and the Taliban $300 million to attack targets other than Saudi Arabia. Further, the Saudis gave Bin-Laden and the Taliban hundreds of millions of dollars of other financial assistance and oil.
Saudi Arabia and its royal families financed the Jihad attack against the United States by paying Osama Bin-Laden not to overthrow their corrupt regime. The tide of truth is rolling over the politically correct. Not even the National Education Association (NEA) can stop the truth. The NEA has presented a “blame America” curriculum to be taught by teachers this September. The NEA suggested that teachers point to the internment of Japanese citizens during World War II and other acts of American “intolerance.” The NEA’s official position is that “…no one group is to blame for 9-11.” The vast majority of America’s teachers have rejected the NEA “guidelines” and will tell the truth about what happened on 9-11 to their students.
There is blame to every evil deed and there is plenty of blame to go around for what happened on 9-11. We can blame our politically correct leaders for refusing to follow up leads to terrorist activity for fear of being “insensitive” to Muslims. We can blame a press and educational system that equates the vile deeds of Mohammed with the peace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The real blame in America rests in the failure of our civil and religious leaders to understand Islam. Terrible things have been done in the name of Christianity over the years, but we always had the words of Christ to return to. Some good things have been done in the name of Islam over the years, but unfortunately, men such as Osama Bin-Laden can always go back to the words of Mohammed. Mohammed was a vile murderer and a thief. The first massacre of Jews was conducted by him personally at Medina in the year 627. Yasser Arafat, in sending out his suicide bombers, is faithfully following Islam and the words of Mohammed. Arafat, Bin-Laden and Mohammed are one.
The great “Fatah” (military conquest for Islam) is upon us. It is the fourth great expansion of Islam. If we fail to realize this and do not stop the conquest militarily as was done to end the first three great Fatahs, our children and grandchildren will live as slaves to Mohammed.
What does the next year bring us, the next ten years? More violence against Christians by Islamic governments; more terror attacks in the name of Islamic Jihad; more Jewish and Christian children killed by suicide bombers and even more lies from Islamic leaders.
Muslims have no fear of lying. In the Washington Times, Faiz Rehman of the American Muslim Council had the gall to claim last month that 16% of those killed on 9-11 were Muslims. He claims that 500 of the 3,000 killed were Islamic and that America has a debt to Islam. American newspapers have printed this lie without challenge.
What is our defense? Truth rather than political correctness is our only defense. We need leaders who will tell the truth about Islam, tell the truth about Islamic nations, and tell the truth about the reality of Islam in America. We need leaders who are willing to take action against those who attack us and that includes those like the Saudis who finance the terror. Until then America will have no security and our families and descendants will be at risk. (Originally published September, 2002)

informed rational freedom loving people have all the reasons in the world to fear islam…
the twin fogs of political correctness & ignorance must be dispersed before western society better understands this menace. even a brief review of islamic theology & history quickly exposes the deadly roots of this evil ideology….
Mohamhead was a 7th century murdering warlord who rose to power on a river of blood surrounded by thugs and gangsters using intimidation, violence, deception and trickery to expand their criminal empire while mercilessly suppressing and killing their opponents and enriching themselves on stolen booty.
The evil koran is a collection of sayings and speeches by this diabolical madman claiming divine guidance from some mythical sky-god which has inspired generations of crazed fanatics to abhorrent behavior resulting in historys worst ever crimes against humanity starting 1400 years ago and still continuing even today.
Islam is just another fascist totalitarian ideology used by power hungry fanatics on yet another quest for worldwide domination and includes all the usual human rights abuses & suppression of freedoms.
