There is a battle for our religious liberty here in the United States and in Western Europe as well. Western governments are moving forward to criminalize religious beliefs the elitist establishment disagrees with, and right now the point of the spear in attacking religious freedom is same-sex marriage. The Obama administration may be ready to have the IRS pass rules that would take away the tax-exempt status of social conservative organizations if they say certain types of sexual acts are morally wrong.

Syrian Refugees Face Hunger Amidst Humanitarian Funding Crisis

Though the agency received 5.38 billion dollars in 2014, the continuing emergencies in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere mean that needs now far outpace available funding. From assisting an estimated 2.5 million refugees last year, limited funding has forced the organisation to scale back its operations, with the result that just 1.6 million refugees are currently receiving rations.

In Iraq and Syria Christian men are being beheaded for refusing to convert to Isam. Their wives are being forced into sometimes ten and twenty “temporary marriages” a night. In Islam these are legal “marriages” although some last less than an hour. Younger Christian girls who are virgins do not face this fate but rather are taken as “wives” by senior Islamic State and al-Nusra fighters.

The formation of the United States Constitution in 1789 is rooted and grounded in the English Magna Carta. Early American colonists were deeply influenced by this document. It is still an extremely important symbol of freedom and liberty even today. In essence, the Magna Carta became “the law of the land” in the United States of America and the foundation of Western democracy.
