THE PRESIDENCY

Obama and Clinton say sorry to rioting Muslims

CENSORSHIP BY ANY OTHER NAME – Conservatives in the United States have been ominously quiet about the personal attacks and attempts at censorship by President Barack Obama over the short internet video clip, “Innocence of Muslims,” which Google still refuses to remove from its Youtube platform. Google has refused to define the video as hate speech and remove it, despite demands directly from the White House to do so. Why? The short clip, while crudely made, is not inaccurate in its depiction of Islamic history.

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had publically apologized on numerous occasions to Muslims worldwide for the film. Unable to have the clip removed from Youtube, the Obama Administration began a paid advertising campaign to  denounce the film, with the President and Hillary starring in TV commercials shown in Pakistan and paid for by the State Department.

In a final gesture of apology President Obama,  to the applause of the Muslim world and the liberal media in the United States, ordered the arrest of the film maker. He is currently being held without bail by federal authorities. Below is an editorial which appeared in the Wall Street Journal about the arrest:

In his address to the United Nations earlier this week, President Obama condemned “the crude and disgusting video [that] sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.” Some 48 hours later, police in California arrested the man behind the film “Innocence of Muslims,” and a federal judge on Thursday night ordered Nakoula Basseley Nakoula held in jail without bond.

Mr. Nakoula allegedly used the alias Sam Bacile to produce and post an amateurish clip of the film, which may not exist in full, on YouTube. The government has charged him with eight counts of violating parole. In 2010, he was convicted of bank fraud and served a year of a 21-month sentence. His use of the Internet is restricted.

We’re not privy to the specific parole terms to be able to pass judgment on the technical merits of the government’s case. A judge will sort it out. But the decision to pursue him in the first place was a discretionary call by the government.

We doubt that every Web surfer on similar probation gets hauled back to prison. Or gets denied bail by a judge who called Mr. Nakoula “a flight risk,” though it’s hard to imagine he’d want to return to his native Egypt, the scene of the first violent protests on September 11, or go anywhere else. A minister in the Pakistani government has put a $100,000 bounty on his head.

Barring public lapidation, nothing the U.S. government does to Mr. Nakoula will satisfy the Islamist frenzy over this perceived slight. Nor, to be clear, would anything. Anti-American mobs in the Islamic world need no excuses to riot, a point missed by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice and others in the Obama camp who blame the violence of the last two weeks on the cheap video clip.

In that same speech on Tuesday, President Obama rightly noted that, “Americans have fought and died around the globe to protect the right of all people to express their views—even views that we disagree with.”

The government’s actions send a different message. The Obama Administration asked YouTube to yank the video off the site. (YouTube didn’t.) And now the filmmaker sits behind bars—whether on legally justifiable grounds is besides the point. The First Amendment also protects speech that causes the White House headaches abroad.(Wall Street Journal, September 29th, 2012.)

As just about every American who doesn’t spend the day watching soap operas now knows, the entire campaign by the Obama Administration to blame the film for the attack on our consulate in Libya and the murder of Ambassador Stevens was based on a lie. The attack that killed the ambassador had nothing to do with Mr. Nakoula’s internet film clip. The military style attack was well planned and executed by a group associated with Al-Qaeda. Several dozen attackers used heavy weapons in the attack marking the 11th anniversary of the jihad assault on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Blaming the film for the attack was a total fabrication… but why?

First and foremost, President Barack Obama wants to depict himself as a friend of the Muslim world. He made that very clear at his United Nation’s address on September 26 when he stated:

“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”

To non-Christians Jesus is simply Jesus; he is not the Savior. To non-Muslims Mohammed is simply Mohammed; he is not the Prophet. Only Christians call Jesus “the Savior” and only Muslims call Mohammed “the Prophet.” In the next sentence of address to the United Nations he referred to Jesus Christ without using the term Savior. Many found this very odd, particularly in light of the Obama Administration backing a UN resolution supporting blasphemy laws, a resolution all previous American administrations have opposed. Why does President Barack Obama consistently refer to Mohammed as “the Prophet” but never to Jesus as “Savior” or as the “son of God?” Does Obama hold Mohammed in higher esteem that Jesus? Only he knows the answer to that question.

UNITED NATIONS CHIEF BACKS OBAMA ON SPEECH BAN – Shortly after President Barack Obama declared at the United Nations that “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,” the Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, took to the podium to denounce freedom of speech. In remarks clearly designed to back worldwide Islamic blasphemy laws, the Secretary General made this remark about freedom of speech:  “When some people use this freedom of expression to provoke or humiliate some others’ values and beliefs, then this cannot be protected in such a way.”

Please note those last few words: “this cannot be protected in such a way.” The “this” he is referring to is freedom of speech.

Simply put, UN Secretary Ban along with President Barack Obama want to ban free speech that they believe will aggravate Muslims to violence, thus legalizing blasphemy laws.

WHO IS NEXT? – Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders produced a 17 minute film  titled Fitna which did not even show images of Mohammed but did clearly expose the violence promoted by the Qur’an. The movie presented excerpts from Surahs of the Qur’an, while showing the current acts of violence by Muslims as prescribed by those passages.

Although he was a Member of Parliament, the Dutch government attempted to put Geert Wilders in prison for telling the truth about the Qur’an. Wilders has had several Islamic fatwa’s issued for his murder for “insulting the Qur’an” (by quoting it). The “moderate” Islamic nation of Jordan has issued an international arrest warrant for Wilders for “blasphemy of the Prophet.”

In 2010 Newt Gingrich’s organization, in cooperation with Citizens’ United, released America at Risk, a film about the continuing jihad against the West that started centuries ago. Much of the material in Fitna is also in the Gingrich produced film, although without many of the images. Gingrich has had nothing to say about the current situation.

Numerous authors and film makers, including myself, have exposed the same truths about Mohammed as did Basseley Nakoula in his Innocence of Muslim, the film Obama has jailed him for making. The list of well-known American authors and film makers who have told the truth about the murderous war lord known as Mohammed is hundreds of names long. The primary difference between Nakoula’s film and those of Newt Gingrich and others is that Nakoula presented actual images of Mohammed.

So for now, only those who show Mohammed’s image are threatened, censored and punished. Will words concerning Mohammed be next?

The ranting of President Barack Obama against Innocence of Muslims, and the jailing without bail of its maker, casts a pall over every one of us who has told and continues to tell the truth about Islam and its origins. I am very concerned that not a single civil rights organization, on the right or the left, has even raised questions about this arrest — not the ACLU, not Liberty Counsel, not Jay Sekulow’s ACLJ, not the Rutherford Institute — no one. Very few have mentioned Obama’s paid ads in Pakistan, in which he apologizes for those of us in the United States who express ourselves as our Constitution allows.

MOB RULE STOPS OBAMA NEWSPAPER ADS – A newspaper in Florida gave in to some radial bloggers’ harsh condemnation of an ad placed by my political action committee highlighting what Barack Obama “will” do to America during a second term. The Sarasota Herald Tribune publically apologized for running the ad and refunded the money to my PAC.

Instead of saying this is what Obama has done, my ad says this is what Obama is going to do. The Left knows that what I said is true, so they need to shut us up, and one way is through mob rule. Instead of the left running their own ad, they called out the troops to demonstrate in front of the newspaper’s office. They could not attack the message because it told the truth, so they attacked the newspaper.

The PAC, Government Is Not God, continues to run ads exposing the ways Barack Obama represents a threat to religious freedom; this threat can also be seen in his support of blasphemy laws that protect Islam from criticism. See WND story

THAILAND: On September 21st Muslims detonated a car bomb in Pattani, Thailand to punish a non-Muslim business for staying open on Friday, which they consider a holy day. The Muslims first opened fire on a gold shop in Pattani province’s Sai Buri district and fled. When security forces arrived at the scene, a bomb hidden in a nearby pickup truck exploded.

A border patrol volunteer, an administrative official and four civilians were killed. Twelve police officers were among the 44 people wounded. The pickup truck containing the bomb had been stolen in a September 7 attack by Muslims that killed three innocent women who were standing nearby. Muslims had been distributing leaflets in the area warning non-Muslim shop owners that they must shut down on Friday, or else Muslims would consider staying open an insult to Islam and a reason to kill businessmen who would not comply.

Since the attack in Pattani on September 21st there have been several attacks in Yala and Narathiwat. Twice, Buddhist women have been killed while riding on the back of motorcycles being driven by their husbands. One 74 year old Buddhist was beaten to death. In another attack just days later in Narathiwat, hand grenades were tossed into a local trade fair, killing one and wounding thirty on Sunday, September 30th. Just the day before five more people were murdered by Muslims just south of there. The number of civilians killed by Muslims is hard to keep track of in Thailand because in rural areas the slaughter is often reported late.

The continuing carnage by Muslims in Thailand is being totally ignored by the Obama Administration and the “mainstream” media because it doesn’t fit into the establishment theme that Islam is a religion of peace and violence is caused by the excessive use of freedom of speech in the West. The carnage in Thailand is also difficult to blame on the existence of Israel, but Muslim apologists in the United States try to do that as well. Since 2004 there have been 5,000 known murders in Thailand by Muslims who want to form a separate Islamic state in the south and expel all Buddhists and Christians. More at TheReligionofPeace.com

TURKEY: BANNING FREE SPEECH IS SOLUTION – Joining United Nations chief Ban, Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan called for “international legal regulations against attacks on what people deem sacred, on religion” as well as “something in terms of domestic law.” He stated that Turkish legislators will immediately seek to prohibit blasphemous remarks. Before the Muslim Brotherhood came to power, Turkey was a secular nation with freedom of speech. A court appointed by Erdogan recently sentenced more than 300 army officers to long prison sentences for “thinking about” overthrowing the Islamic regime ten years ago.

EGYPT: SIX YEARS IN PRISON FOR CHRISTIAN – Christians are concerned and shocked by the six-year sentence imposed on Bishoy Kamel, a Christian teacher who was alledged to have posted online some satirical cartoons about Islam on July 30 this year. He was also accused of “insulting” the new Muslim Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi. Before visiting the White House in September, President Morsi dropped by the UN to deliver a speech demanding restrictions on free speech, saying, “Egypt respects freedom of expression,” but “not a freedom of expression that targets a specific religion or a specific culture.” Several blasphemy cases are moving forward in Egypt to place Christians and secularists in prison.
